| Obituary- McDowell, Larry Larry K. McDowell
ONAGA - Larry K. McDowell, 53, Onaga, died Friday, Feb. 1, 1991, at a Topeka hospital of a heart attack.
Mr. McDowell worked 32 years for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Topeka. He was an Army veteran.
He was born April 25, 1937, at Topeka, the son of Kyle W. and Eva Tubbs McDowell. The family moved in 1947 to Onaga, where he attended Onaga schools. He was graduated in 1956 from Onaga High School and attended a junior college in St. Joseph, Mo.
Mr. McDowell was a member of the Congregational Church in Onaga, Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie in Holton, Local No. 307 of the United Rubber Workers of America Union in Topeka, National Rifle Association and Bass Anglers Sportsmen's Society.
He was married to Carolyn A. Brees on April 23, 1960, at Emmett. She died July 6, 1988. He was married to Marna Kaff on Aug. 18, 1989, in Wells Creek Church near Belvue. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Krohn, Wheaton, and Colleen Whitmore, Belle Plain; a son, Terry McDowell, Cameron, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Kristina Ann Kaff, at home; two brothers, Gary McDowell, Guthrie, Okla., and Michael McDowell, Onaga; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Congregational Church in Onaga. Burial will be in Onaga Cemetery. Family and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. today at Tessendorf Mortuary in Onaga. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Congregational Church in Onaga, Community Hospital in Onaga or to the charity of the donor's choice.
