Mrs. Leona B. McNeive, 77, St. Louis, a former Kansan, died Saturday, March 26, 1983, at a nursing home in St. Louis.
She was born July 16, 1905, in Iola, Ks., and spent many years in the Delia and Emmett communities.
She lived 20 years in Kansas City, Mo., where she was employed by Macy’s Department Store before she retired in 1971.
She was married to John D. McNeive February 9, 1931. He died March 22, 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ann Bishop, Grandview, Mo.; a son, D.L. McNeive, Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Zella McCay, Wellsville, and Ruby Foster, Iola; a brother, Cecil Heath, Kansas City, Ks.; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McGilley’s Midtown Funeral Home in Kansas City, Mo. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo. A prayer service was at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
