| Obituary- Lacock, Gerald Gerald E. ‘Jerry’ Lacock
MAPLE HILL -- Gerald E. "Jerry" Lacock, 60, rural Maple Hill, died Thursday, May 16, 1996, at his home.
Mr. Lacock worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for many years and later worked for the Seven-Up Bottling Co. in Topeka for several years.
He was born May 18, 1935, at Delia, the son of Louis C. and Christine M. Brubaker Lacock. he was graduated from Delia High School in 1954. He moved to Maple Hill from Topeka in 1987.
He was married to Mary Jo Verschelden. She preceded him in death April 18, 1987.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Dehart, Topeka; and Brenda Lacock, Fort Collins, Colo.; a son, Gary J. Lacock, Maple Hill, two brothers, Donald Lacock, Delia and Robert Lacock, Topeka; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home at St. Marys. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery. MR. Lacock will like in state from 20 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Gerald E. Lacock Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
