LOUIS C. LACOCK
Louis C. Lacock, son of Reuben and Myrtle Campbell Lacock, was born July 8, 1894 at Topeka and passed away February 11, 1975 at the Veterans' Hospital in Topeka at the age of 80 years.
His early life was spent in the Dover and St. Marys communities. He was a trucker fora number of years and moved to Delia in 1930.
In 1924 he married Christine Brubaker. To this union five sons were born. One died in infancy and Paul was killed in 1941. Mrs. Lacock died October 27, 1907.
Louis was a veteran of World War I and served with the First Army Infantry in France and Germany. He was a member of Jimmy Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville, Ks.
He was custodian and a bus driver at Delia High School until he retired.
He leaves to mourn his passing his three sons, Donald of the home in Delia, Gerald E. Lacock and Robert Lacock, both of Topeka, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, February 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Verscheldcn Funeral home in St. Marys. He was laid to rest in the Rossville Cemetery.
Jimmy Lillard Post No. 31 of Rossville conducted military services there. Pallbearers were George Olejnik, Kenneth R. Houck, James Simecka, John Wehner, Oscar McCoy and Leonard Dodge.

He was born July 8, 1894, in Topeka and spent his early life in the Dover and St. Marys communities. He lived north of St. Marys before he moved to Delia in 1930.
He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the First Army infantry in France and Germany. He was a member of Jimmy Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville, lie was a truck driver before he retired.
lie was married to Christine Brubaker in 1924 in Topeka. She died Oct 27, 1967.
Survivors include three sons, Robert L. Lacock, 1932 Meadow Lane, Gerald E. Lacock, 1006 1/2 N. Kansas, and Donald Lacock, at home; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Verschelden Funeral Home at St. Marys. Jimmy Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion will conduct graveside services at Rossville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
