| Anniversary- Lady, Herbert and Helen Herbert and Helen Lady
Herbert and Helen Lady, Rossville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception for relatives and friends from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at Reynolds Lodge, on the east side of Lake Shawnee.
Hosting the reception will be their children, Larry and Barbara Lady, Topeka; Gary and Joetta Lady, Grover Beach, Calif.; and Rebecca Lady, Wichita. They have six grandchildren.
Herbert Lady and Helen Myrick were married Jan. 25, 1945, at Algiers Naval Base, New Orleans, La.
The couple request no gifts.

Helen M. Lady, 77, Topeka, died Tuesday, February 12, 2002, at a local retirement center in Topeka.
She was born September 8, 1924, in Topeka, the daughter of Charles A. and Mable Melissa Fireoved Myrick, and lived in the Topeka and Rossville communities all of her life.
Mrs. Lady was graduated from Topeka High School. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Topeka Chapter #462, Order of the Eastern Star, and a Past Guardian of Bethel #1 of Job’s Daughters.
On January 25,1945, she married Herbert G. Lady at Algiers Naval Station, Louisiana. He died February 9, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, James David Lady, May 9, 1972, and a great-grandson, Matthew Sterling Lady, January 15, 1996.
Surviving her are two sons, Larry Lady and Gary Lady, both of Topeka; a daughter, Becky Weber, Wichita; her twin brother, Harold E. Myrick, Topeka; two sisters, Phyllis Beach, Rosemont, MN, and Dorothy Carlisle, Glendale, CA; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Her service was at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Parker-Price Chapel, followed by Eastern Star Services conducted by Topeka Chapter #462, Order of the Eastern Star. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. Friends and relatives met at the mortuary from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
