They were married Dec. 8, 1946, in Topeka.
Hosts will be their children, Mike Myrick and family friend Steve McKinney, Nashville, Tenn., and Tom and Norrice Myrick, Topeka. The couple have 4 grandchildren, 3 step- grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Myrick is retired from Fleming Cos. Mrs. Myrick is retired from Westar Energy.

Harold E. Myrick
Harold E. Myrick, 84, Topeka, entered into eternal rest Fri., Sept. 19, 2008, surrounded by his loving family.
Harold was born Sept. 8,1924, in Topeka, the son of Charles and Mabie Myrick, the youngest and last survivor of eight children. He was a graduate of Topeka High School, Class of 1943.
Harold served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Campaign.
He married Arlene Mae Simmons on Dec. 8, 1946, in Topeka. She survives.
Harold retired from Fleming Foods after 35 years of dedicated service; was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church; lifetime member of Topeka Lodge #17; Topeka Scottish Rite; Arab Temple and American Legion Post 400.
He is also survived by two sons, Mike Myrick of Nashville, TN and Tom Myrick (Norrice) of Topeka; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Mon., Sept. 22 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. Interment will follow at Topeka Cemetery Garden Chapel. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sun., he will lie in-state from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131-3597 or Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617.
