    Nancy E. Leeper
    Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Leeper, 74, of this city, who died Wednesday afternoon at Christ’s hospital, was born on February 18, 1863, near Holton. She was a member of the Rossville Methodist church.

    Surviving are the husband, William A. Leeper, three sons, William A. Leeper, jr., of Maple Hill; George W., of Modesto, Calif., and Charles A., of Great Falls, Mont.; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Miller, of Maple Hill; Mrs. Fred Mason of Rossville; and Miss Ada Leeper, of Pomona, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Narcissa Hunter, of Fort Worth, Texas; Mrs. Mollie Poteet, of Guthrie, Okla; and Mrs. Etta Poteet, also of Guthrie; four brothers, Jess Hubbard, of Cushing, Okla. and Paul Clayton and Leonard Hubbard, all of Guthrie; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Leeper were held last Friday afternoon in Topeka from the Conwell funeral home, conducted by Rev. C.C. Albin. Music was furnished by Mrs. Margaret Witter, Miss Barbara Goodrum, Mrs. E.G. Griswold and Mrs. Peter Navarre. Miss Edith Higginbotham accompanied at the piano. Pall bearers were: Walter Cless, Everett Pelfry [sic Pelfrey], Albert Reser, Arthur White, George Bills and C.E. Cless. Burial at Holton, Kansas.

    Miss Ada Leeper arrived, Saturday from California, called by the critical illness of her mother, Mrs. Betty Leeper who has been ill at Christ’s hospital several weeks past.

    Mrs. Betty Leeper who makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Belle Miller near Maple Hill, is seriously ill and confined to her bed.

    One brother, Mr. Jesse Hubbard and wife of Cushing, Okla., two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Poteet and Mrs. Ella Poteet of Guthrie, Okla., and Leo Hubbard, a nephew, attended the funeral service of Mrs. Betty Leeper last Friday.
