Helen Margaret Lloyd, 85, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, December 22,2009 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center. She was born on April 24, 1924 in Clarinda, Iowa to William J. and Mary Grace (Martin) Radke.
On July 20, 1944 she married Cecil E. Lloyd in Lawrence, Kansas. She was a Clerk V for the State of Kansas for 33 V2 years before retiring on May 9, 1986. She was a member of St. Stanislaus in Rossville, the Red Hat Society and various card clubs.
Helen is survived by her children, Edward (MaryAnne) Lloyd of Silver Lake; James (Dorothy) Lloyd of Rossville; Sandy (Gary) Tomson of Rossville; Bill (Nan) Lloyd of Topeka; Four grand-children, Keiley (Brian) Chilcoat of Lawrence; Chris (Carol) Tomson of Delia; Todd Lloyd of Sikeston; and Jessica (Levi) Addington of Topeka; five great-grandchildren, Jared, Maggie and Sean Chilcoat of Lawrence; Taylor Tomson of Delia; and Dalton Addington of Topeka; and two step-great-grandchildren Alyssa and Makenna Addington of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her husband, three siblings and grandson, Jacob Lloyd.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28 at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 27 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
