    BLOOD POISONING CAUSES
    DEATH OF DONALD NUGENT
Donald Leo Nugent, nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Nugent, of the Dover neighborhood, died last Thursday, July 31, at 1:15 p. m. in St. Francis hospital.

The child’s fatal illness was blood poisoning and complications developing after an operation in the hospital.

A cut on one of the boy’s toes three weeks previous to his death, which had healed, later developed into blood poisoning. The child was taken to the hospital July 21 and the operation occurred on July 22. Death mercifully relieved the little sufferer on July 31.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 2, at the Assumption church in Topeka and the body interred in Mt. Calvary cemetery.

Beside the parents he is survived by one brother, Joe Nugent and three sisters, Bernice, Mary and Maxine Nugent.
