  Obituary- Oliver, Thomas Tom P. Oliver Thomas P. Oliver, died Wednesday night at Christ's hospital after a several months illness. He was one of the largest farming operators in this community combining general farming with the nursery business. He had been operating in this vicinity, for many years and has spent practically all his life in Shawnee county. He was born February 12, 1874 at Tecumseh. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, Elks' lodge, Topeka Consistory and Arab Shrine. Surviving him are his wife, Laurel A. Oliver, a daughter, Mrs. George Maddox, Rossville; and four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stroup, Topeka; Mrs. Charles McCarter, Tabool, Mo.; Mrs. J.W. Peake, Puyallup, Wash.; and Miss Mae Oliver, Topeka.
