| Anniversary- Olson, Elmer and Hazel WILLARD AND VICINITY
The following friends and relatives gathered at the Elmer Olson home Saturday night in honor of their 18th wedding anniversary: Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Crow and children, Ruth, Dale, Billy, Ada, Mildred, Neil and Byron; Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Fitzgerald and children, John, James, Calvin, Theodore, Betty and Eleanor; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harth; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lloyd and children Jewell and Warren; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Hartzell and son Donald of Topeka; The evening was spent at cards and visiting. Refreshments of sandwiches, cake and coffee were served.

Hazel F. Olson, 97, Rossville, died Monday, October 6, 1997, at the home of her daughter.
She was born July 29,1900, at Willard, the daughter of Jacob C. and Carrie V. Sherrets Lloyd.
Mrs. Olson grew up in the Willard community, and had lived in the Willard, Dover and Rossville communities all of her life.
She was a member of the Dover Federated Church, and also the Rossville Christian Church. She taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society at Dover, and was a past member of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Rossville.
She was married to Elmer R. Olson November 12, 1919, at Topeka. He died in February 1948.
Surviving her are a daughter, Luella Olson Sage, rural Topeka; a brother, Clyde Lloyd, Auburn; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
A family visitation was held from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home. Her service was Thursday at the funeral home, with burial following in the Dover Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stormont-Vail Home Health Services and sent in care of the funeral home.

ROSSVILLE - Hazel F. Olson. 97,
Rossville, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at her daughter’s home.
Mrs. Olson was a midwife for many years in Rossville for Dr. Miller and Dr. C.S. Smith.
She was born July 29,1900, in Willard, the daughter of Jacob C. and Carrie V. Sherrets Lloyd. She was a lifelong resident of the Willard, Dover and Rossville area.
Mrs. Olson as a member of the Dover Federated Church and the Rossville Christian Church in Rossville, and she had taught Sunday school at both churches. She also was a member of the Ladies Aid Society at Dover and a past member of the auxiliary to Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion in Rossville.
She married Elmer R. Olson on Nov. 12, 1919, in Topeka. He died in February 1948.
Survivors include a daughter, Luella Olson Sage, rural Topeka; a brother, Clyde Lloyd. Auburn; two grandchildren; six great-grand¬children, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys Burial will be at the Dover Cemetery Mrs. Olson will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where relatives and friends will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
