| Obituary- Paine, Edward Edward E. Paine
Edward E. Paine, 58, Topeka, formerly of Rossville, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1988, at his home. He had been ill.
Mr. Paine was a welder. He worked at Josten’s Printing and Publishing before he retired in 1984.
He was born Oct. 23, 1929, at Rossville, the son of Chester and Evelyn Baird Paine.
Mr. Paine was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rossville.
He was married to Darlene Cottrell Nov. 3, 1950, at Ellsworth. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Tracy Paine, at home; four sons, Edward P. Paine, St. Marys, Terry Paine, Delia, Jonny Paine, Maple Hill, and Mark Paine, Topeka; a brother, Kent Paine, Rossville; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Paine will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home where visitation will be from 8 until 9 p.m. today.
