• Documents		Obituary- Parr, Shirley G. Shirley Glenn ‘Bud’ Parr Shirley Glenn “Bud” Parr, 72, Onaga, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 1988, at a Topeka hospital. He had cancer. Mr. Parr was employed by Kansas Power and Light Co. in Onaga 30 years before retiring in 1974. He was born Oct. 8, 1916, in Rossville, the son of John and Florence Guffie Parr. Mr. Parr was a member of the Congregational Church at Onaga. He was married to Beulah Lester June 21, 1958, at Pawnee City, Neb. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Marie Ross, Topeka, Darlene Price, Albuquerque, N.M., and Tina Nath, Papua, New Guinea; four sons, Leroy Parr, Manhattan, Michael Parr, Brent Parr and Jimmy Parr, all of the home; and four grandchildren. Arrangements are pending at Tessendorf Mortuary in Onaga. Mr. Parr will lie in state after 10 a.m. today at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
