Edward A. Patterson, 82, retired Rossville farmer, died early Wednesday morning, August 26, at the home of his son, Edward Patterson, Jr., Route 2, Lawrence. He was born April 4, 18871, in Coatsville, Mo., and moved to Rossville with his parents when he was eight years old. He moved to Mayetta in 1917 and returned to Rossville a few years afterward. He was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church h
and the Rossville Masonic Lodge.
His wife, Mrs. Angie Bell Kirby Patterson, died in June, 1944. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Blandin, Topeka; three sons, A.A. Patterson, Wichita; Floyd Patterson, Mayetta, and Edward Patterson, Jr., Lawrence; a sister, Mrs. John C. Stoyell, Salt Lake, City; 110 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church with burial in Rossville Cemetery.
