| Obituary- Remer, Pearl Pearl E. Remer
BURLINGTON -- Pearl E. Remer, 99, Burlington, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 1996, at a Topeka care home where she had been since 1992.
She was born Feb. 1, 1897, in McPherson, the daughter of Stillman D. and Ida Busby Retledge.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Martha Chapter No. 73 of Order of Eastern Star, and Chapter CO of PEO Sisterhood, all in Burlington.
She was married to Milton L. Remer Nov. 24, 1918, in Lebo. He died Sept. 20, 1986. A son, Sherman S. Remer, died in 1939.
Survivors include four daughters, Freda Scott, Overland Park; Eudora McMillen, Pacifica, Calif.; Wanda Woolpert, Topeka, and Orpha Macha, Chesterfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Burlington. Burial will be in Stringtown Cemetery near Burlington. Mrs. Reimer will lie in state from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington.
