Etta Mae Richardson, 89, Topeka, died Monday, May 31,1999, at her home.
She was born January 12,1910, at Dover, the daughter of Amy A. Steffee Meade and Grant U. Meade, Sr.
She lived in Topeka most of her life.
She had worked in several Topeka cafes and restaurants. She had owned and operated the Red Hen Grill in Topeka.
She was a long time member of the Rossville United Methodist Church and a member of Royal Neighbors of America.
She married John M. Richardson on August 25, 1953, in Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1975.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles U. Meade, Rossville, and Grant Meade, Jr„ Fairhope, AL.
Her graveside service and burial was Friday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.

Mrs. Richardson owned and operated the Red Hen Grill in Topeka, and she had worked in several Topeka cafes and restaurants.
She was born Jan. 12. 1910, in Dover, the daughter of Amy A. Steffee and Grant U. Meade Sr. She lived most her life in Topeka.
Mrs. Richardson was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors of America.
She married John M. Richardson on Aug. 25, 1953, in Missouri. He preceded her in death Jan 17,1975.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles U. Meade, Rossville, arid Grant Meade Jr, Fairhope, Ala.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Richardson will lie in state after 2 p.m. Thursday at Parker-Price t Mortuary, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
