Mrs. Mildred Berry and Mr. Carl Rupin were married December 18 at the home of her brother, Mr. Lawrence Binney, in Topeka. Rev. Don Jones read the marriage vows in the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Binney, the only attendants.
Mr. and Mrs. Rupin returned home this week after a trip to Arizona. |

Carl V. Rupin
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary for Carl Victor “Doc” Rupin, 78, Topeka. He died Friday, March 11, 1988, at his home.
Dr. Robert D. Jensen, Shawnee County deputy district coroner, said Mr. Rupin died of natural causes.
Mr. Rupin was in the irrigation and grain business. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was born Oct. 16, 1909, at Topeka, the son of Dr. Anton and Alma Adina Nelson Rupin. He lived in Rossville 25 years and lived in Topeka many years.
Mr. Rupin was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church, an American Legion Post and Moose Lodge No. 555 at Topeka. He was an officer in the Berry Grain Co. Inc.
His first wife, Mrs. Mary Rupin, died in 1953. He married Mildred Binney Berry in December 1956. She died in 1963.
Survivors include two stepsons, Robert L. Berry, Topeka, and Leo Berry, Rossville; a brother, Ray Rupin, Scranton; two sisters, Adina Miller, Phoenix, Ariz., and Elizabeth Scott, Topeka; six stepgrandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Rupin will lie in state after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5375 S.W. 7th, 66606.
