Marion J. Saia, 79, Emmett, died Thursday, October 22, 1992, at Community Hospital, Onaga.
He owned and operated Saia Hardware Store at Emmett for many years and owned and also operated Saia Liquor Store in Emmett.
He was born March 19, 1913, in Delia, the son of Samuel Louis and Anna Marie Kalcik Saia.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Emmett. He was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #657 and the Thomas McNeive Assembly of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, both at St. Marys. He served on the City Council and as City Treasurer at Emmett. He belonged to the Emmett Lions Club.
A sister, Marie Holligan, died December 27, 1990.
Survivors include one sister, LaVerne Holligan, Englewood, Colo.; two nieces; and two nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, at Holy Cross Church in Emmett. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Church in Emmett.

EMMETT - Marion J. Saia, 79, Emmett, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1992, at an Onaga hospital.
Mr. Saia owned and operated the Saia Hardware Store in Emmett many years and the Saia Liquor Store in Emmett since 1948.
