Mrs. Stella C. Siebert, 77, Ozawkie, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 1989, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born June 19, 1912, near Delia, the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Eckert Stich. She lived in the Oakland neighborhood in Topeka from 1933 until 1972 when she moved to Ozawkie.
Mrs. Siebert was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Perry and was active in several bowling leagues.
She was married to Francis M. Siebert Aug. 8, 1933, in Delia. He survives. A son, Donald Siebert, died in 1963.
Other survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Geraghty, Clayton, Calif., Mary Whittlesey, Marion, Iowa, and Beverly McQuilkin, Topeka; a son, Francis E. Siebert, Oswego, and James L. Siebert, Enumclaw, Wash.; a sister, Helen Bailey, Rockford, Ill.; two brothers, Leo Stich, Meriden, and Eugene Stich, Topeka; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Perry. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka. Mrs. Siebert will lie in state from 2 until 9 p.m. Thursday at Brennan Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7.30 p.m. Thursday.
