    Andricks celebrate 50th anniversary
    John and Isla Rose Andrick of Rossville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family on Sept. 9 at the Rossville Community Center.

    John Andrick and Isla Rose Parnell were married Sept. 9, 1956 in Seneca. John was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. of Topeka and Isla Rose was a secretary at Stauffer Publications of Topeka.

    Their children are Ron Andrick and wife Alice of Topeka, Janice Andrick of home, Brenda Brown and husband Rod of Rossville and the late Terry Andrick of Emmett. They also have been blessed with seven grandchildren, John C. Andrick of Emmett, John and his wife Brandy and Laura Andrick of Topeka and David Andrick of Holton, Kelby, Ethan and Kaylee Brown of Rossville. They have two great-grandchildren Mariah and Michelle Andrick of Topeka.

    Terry L. Andrick
    Terry L. Andrick, 32, rural St. Marys, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, in a traffic accident near Delia, Ks.
    He was born February 10, 1966, in Topeka, the son of John and Isla Parnell Andrick.
    He grew up in the Rossville and Dover communities and was grad-uated from Mission Valley High School, Eskridge, in 1984. He earned a certificate in heating and air conditioning from Kaw Valley Vo-Tech School in Topeka. He had worked for I.B.P. in Emporia, then for Adams Business Forms in To-peka. He had worked for Custom Wood Products, Inc. in St. Marys for nearly 10 years. Mr. Andrick was also a farmer. He had been a T-Ball coach. He was active in F.F.A. in high school and was a former 4-H member.
    On October 7, 1989, he was married to Marsha A. DeLeye at the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys. She survives.
    He is also survived by a son, John Charles Nicholas Andrick, of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Andrick, Maple Hill; a broth¬er, Ron Andrick, Topeka; two sis¬ters, Brenda Brown, Rossville, and Janice Andrick, Maple Hill; six nieces and nephews.
    He will lie in state after 2:00 Tuesday (this afternoon) at Piper- Verschelden Funeral Home. A ro-sary will be recited at 7:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrat¬ed 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Marys. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the John Charles Nicholas Andrick Education Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.

    ■ Man killed in accident — A
    Man was killed early Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident at the intersection of two Jackson County roads just south of this community in southwest Jackson County. Jackson County Sheriff Daina Durham said.
    The man’s name and age weren’t immediately available.
    He was declared dead at the scene. Durham said the one pas¬senger in his vehicle suffered injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.
    The man killed had been driving a vehicle when it left the road and rolled. Durham said. The man’s vehicle hadn't made contact with any others, but another vehicle had been at the scene, she said. The crash remains under investigation.

    Accident Claims Life of Terry Andrick


    At 1:57 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 1998, Terry Andrick, rural St. Marys, was killed when his 1981 Ford pickup left the road and over-turned. Andrick was driving on E Road, north of Locust Avenue, Delia. According to a spokesper¬son from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Phyllis Gleason, Maple Hill, was ready to turn. Ap¬parently Andrick did not see her turn signal and attempted to pass the Gleason vehicle when he lost control and overturned his pickup.
    Andrick was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, his eight-year-old son John, was thrown from the vehicle and taken to a Topeka hospital where he was treated, then released.
    Authorities said that Andrick and his son were not wearing seat belts. Mrs. Gleason and her pas-senger were wearing seat belts.
    Responding to the accident were the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the Highway Patrol, and Medicare from Holton.

    ST. MARYS — Terry L. Andrick, 32, rural St. Marys, was killed Sunday after¬noon, March 29, 1998, in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Jackson County roads just south of Delia.
    He was born Feb. 10, 1966, in Topeka, to John and Isla Parnell Andrick.     He was active in Future Farmers of America in high school and had been a member of a 4-H Club. He was a T-ball coach.
    He was married to Marsha A. DeLeye Oct. 7, 1989, in St. Marys, She survives.

    St. Marys man killed In accident at Delia A St. Marys man died in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Delia Sunday afternoon. Terry Andrick, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene. His 8-year-old passenger was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. The identity of the boy was not immediately verified, and information on his condition was not available by press time on Monday. According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s report, Andrick was north-bound on a road to Delia, following a 1995 Ford truck driven by Phyllis Gleason, 68, of Maple Hill. Gleason slowed to make a left turn onto Locust Street in Delia and Andrick attempted to pass. Andrick’s 1981 Ford pickup clipped the front left side of Gleason’s vehicle, shot into the east ditch and rolled twice, coming to rest upside down. Andrick was not wearing a seatbelt. St. Marys man killed in wreck— A St. Marys man died Sunday afternoon when his pickup struck another vehicle near an intersection south of Delia, Jackson County Sheriff Daina Durham said Monday. Terry L. Andrick, 32, died when he tried to pass a vehicle driven by Phyliss Gleason from Maple Hill, Durham said. Andrick struck the side of Gleason’s car as she began to turn left onto Locust Avenue, and Andrick’s truck roll off County Road E. Andrick wasn’t wearing his seatbelt, Durham said. Gleason wasn’t hurt in the accident.

    Mr. and Mrs. John Andrick announce the birth of a son, Terry Lee, Thursday February 10. He weighed eight pounds, 13 ounces. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Parnell of Seneca, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Andrick of Rossville. The great grandmother is Mrs. Charles Bales of Seneca.
