Monte Lee Stiles, 75, died Monday, June 27, 2005, at his home in Topeka.
He was born July 24, 1929, in Rossville, the son of Howard N. and Eva J. Stewart Stiles. He graduated from Rossville High School.
Monte worked 35 years for the Santa Fe Railway, Topeka.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Cortes; and a son, Kenneth Stiles.
Survivors include his stepmother, Gertrude Skidmore, Rossville; a son, Larry E. Stiles, Topeka; a brother, Howard D. Stiles, Rossville; and three sisters, Laura Miller, Las Vegas, NV, and Marie Owens and Betty Jean Schneider, both of Rossville.
His service was Thursday at 2 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, Topeka. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of America Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home.
