Mary Etta Streeter, 89, Arkansas City, died Friday, Nov. 4, 1994, at a Dexter nursing home.
She was born March 24, 1905, in Rossville, the daughter of Edward and Jessie Gibbs Failer. She was graduated from Rossville High School in 1923.
She was married to Hardy D. Streeter March 11, 1925, in Topeka. He died Jan. 8, 1981.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Streeter, Arkansas City, and Galen Streeter, Topeka; two daughters, Helen Crump and Bonnie Finson, both of Topeka; four sisters, Essie Sterling, Hays, and Flora Martin, Margie Hesston and Rosie Lewis, all of Topeka; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Topeka. Mrs. Streeter will lie in state after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where relatives and friends will meet from noon to 9 p.m. Monday. The Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City was in charge of Arkansas City arrangements.
