Celebrated Golden Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Timmons, Delia, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 6, 1987. They were married at Westmoreland on June 6, 1937.
The Timmons have three children — Pauline Conley, Delia; Donald Timmons, Denver, Colo., and Dale Timmons, Topeka. They have eight grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Timmons Couple
A 50th wedding anniversary celebration will be held for Carroll and Cordelia Timmons on Sunday, October 11, 1987, at Rossville United Methodist Church, in Rossville, Ks., from 2 to 4 p.m.
Friends and relatives are welcome to join in this celebration. Their children — Joe and Pauline Conley, Delia, Don Timmons, Denver, Colo., and Dale and Kay Timmons, Topeka, will be the hosts.
The couple requests no gifts.

Carroll R. Timmons and Cordelia Belle Carley were married June 6, 1937 at the Baptist Church Parsonage, Wamego.
Mr. Timmons retired from carrying the Topeka State Journal in 1980 but still maintains a Topeka Capital-Journal route at Delia and Rossville. Mrs. Timmons retired from Roy Frey’s Western Wear.
Their children are Pauline and Joe Conley, Delia; Donald E. Timmons, Denver; and Dale and Kay Timmons. They also have 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Donald E. Timmons, 50, Denver, died of natural causes Thursday, June 13, 1991, at home.
He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Topeka, Santa Fe Railway in Kansas City, Kan., and LeeWay Trucking Firm in Denver until he lost his sight to multiple sclerosis four years ago.
Mr. Timmons was born July 9, 1940, at Westmoreland, the son of Carroll R. and Cordelia Belle Carley Timmons. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1958. He served in the Army in Korea.
He was married to Barbara Jo Smith at Wakarusa. They were divorced.
Survivors include his parents, Carroll and Cordelia Timmons, Delia; three sons, Troy D. Timmons, Washington, D.C., Trevor A. Timmons and Trent M. Timmons, both of Denver; a sister, Pauline M. Conley, Delia; and a brother, Robert Dale Timmons, Topeka.
Mr. Timmons will be cremated. Services will be July 17 at Southern Gables Evangelical Free Church in Lakewood, near Littleton. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rossville United Methodist Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Fort Logan Military Cemetery at Littleton. Drinkwine Mortuary in Littleton is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University, Manhattan, 66506.
