Henry “Trix” Turner, 69, Rossville, died Thursday, January 29, 1981, at a Topeka hospital.
He was born March 17, 1911, in Wetumpka, Ala.
Mr. Turner was a welder at Industrial Chrome in Topeka before he retired. He was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church.
He was married September 12, 1942, in Marietta, Ga., to Vivian Divine. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, James Turner, Denver, and Ralph Turner, Montgomery, Ala.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jackie Strimple, Rossville; four brothers, Fred Turner, Montana, Dude Turner, Ladson, S.C., Carol Turner, Phenix City, Ala., and David Turner, Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Mary Irwin Moncrief, Beaufort, S.C.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rossville United Methodist Church. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery.
Casket bearers were James Davis, John Davis, Vance Crawford, Albert Coleman, Joe Gresser and Omer VanVleck,. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
