• Documents		Obituary- Vorhies, Elton and Vorhies, Ray Elton Vorhies Rossville - Elton Vorhies, 89, of Rossville, a retired farmer, died Sunday. Born April 14, 1872, in Shannon City, Iowa, he moved to the Rossville community in 1915. He was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Howard of 1229 Plass and Ray of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Weybright of Culver City, Calif., five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Hurley Funeral Home of Rossville will announce arrangements. -- Ray Vorhies Mr. Ray Vorhies of Long Beach, California passed away New Years Day at his home in California. He was 83 years of age. Mr. Vorhies is a brother of Elton Vorhies of Rossville and also an uncle of Mrs. Beulah McIntyre. At one time Ray and Elton operated a cafe in Rossville.
  		Birthday- Vorhies, Elton Elton Vorhies of Rossville celebrated his 89th birthday Friday by riding his bicycle to town. Vorhies says he's been riding a bicycle for 22 years; however, recently he limits his bicycle riding to only nice days, weatherwise.
