Scherry Ann Wehrli
ROSSVILLE — Scherry Ann Wehrli, 50, Rossville, died Sunday, May 10, 1992, at her home. Cause of death was unavailable.
Mrs. Wehrli worked at the post office in Rossville since 1977 and had been postmaster since 1985.
She was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Harley W. and Carol Marie Wagner Brucker. She was graduated from Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Junior College and attended the University of Kansas and Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. She moved from Topeka to Rossville in 1972.
She was a member of the Christian Church and the auxiliary to Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, both in Rossville, and the Na-tional Association of Postmasters.
She was married to Fred W. Wehrli Aug. 15, 1969, in Topeka. He survives. A daughter, Scherry K. Wehrli, died Sept. 7, 1980. Another daughter, Kelly P. Wehrli, died on Oct. 25, 1985.
Survivors include a son, James L. Wehrli, Topeka; her mother and step-father, Carol M. and Paul E. Linton, Osborne; her father and stepmother, Harley W. and Irene Brucker, Council Bluffs, Iowa; a sister, Chad D. Hurley, Topeka; a halfbrother, Bradley W. Brucker, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and a
grandson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Christian Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Wehrli will lie in state from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Wehrli will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
