    Francis James “Jim” Armstrong

    Francis James “Jim” Armstrong, 72, Silver Lake, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at his home. He was born February 13, 1943, at Wetmore, the son of Raymond Ammas and Ruby Beda Janet (Deahl) Armstrong.
    Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Armstrong of the home; three children: Laurie Gaines (Chris) of Schell City, MO., Jimmy Armstrong (Lisa) of Wylie, TX, and Jodi McKinney (Claude) of Topeka; two brothers: Jack Armstrong (Vera) of Topeka and Vern Armstrong (Cindy) of Rossville; and two grandsons: Aaron Gaines of Schell City, MO and Spencer Armstrong of Wylie, TX.
    Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka followed by military honors conducted by a Fort Riley U.S. Army Detail. Cremation will follow with private interment of cremains in Prairie Home Cemetery, NW 35th and Menoken Road, Topeka.
    Jim will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
