Harold W. Atchison, 81, Tope¬ka, died Thursday, February 25, 1999, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Atchison was a machinist and retired from Brackett Strip-ping. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in Rhine¬land, Ardennes and Central Eu¬rope. He was a Prisoner of War in Germany and was decorated with the Purple Heart.
He was born March 27, 1917, at Decatur, IL, the son of Charles O. and Elizabeth Page Atchison. He moved to Topeka from Rossville in 1956.
He married Minnie L. Parr. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Bob Atchison, DeSoto; a daughter, Judy Hansford, Silver Lake; many grandchildren and great-grandchil¬dren.
Private burial and graveside services in Rossville Cemetery were under the direction of Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka.
