 | Anniversary- Berkey, Charles and Lyda Mr. and Mrs. Charles Berkey of Rossville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Sunday, September 29th. They will be assisted by their son, Mr. Don Berkey and his wife, their grandson, Mr. Curtis Berkey and his wife and their granddaughter, Miss Pam Berkey. The couple were married on September 24, 1913 in
Topeka, Kansas. No invitations are being issued, but friends and relatives are asked to call between the hours of 2 and 5. The couple request their be no gifts.

ROSSVILLE - Mrs. Lyda A. Berkey, 91, Rossville, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, at a Rossville nursing home.
She was born Aug. 3, 1894, at Rossville, the daughter of Joseph and Alma Mitchell Dean.
Mrs. Berkey spent her life in the Rossville community. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Amaryllis Chapter No. 321 of Order of Eastern Star, both at Ross¬ville.
She was married to Charles L. Berkey in 1913 at Rossville. He died Jan. 26, 1965.
Survivors include a son, Donald D. Berkey, Rossville; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Bailey, Silver Lake, Mrs. Kate Maddox, Topeka, and Mrs. Emma Waltrip of Armona, Calif.; two brothers, Charles Dean, Silver Lake, and Delbert Dean, Topeka; two grandchildren and five great-grand- children.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Fri¬day at Parker-Price Mortuary in To¬peka. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Rossville, 66533. Mrs. Ber¬key will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at the mortuary where rela¬tives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
