She was born Jan. 26, 1920, at Rossville, the daughter of Charles E. and Alice C. Stum DeGraff. Vera was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and was retired from W.T. Grant Department Store. She was married to Robert H. Sicking, Dec. 18,1956, at Newkirk, Okla. He preceded her in death July 27,1983. Surviving are two sisters: Bonnie Thomas of Silver Lake and Dolly Heiland of Rossville. Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 227 SW Van Buren, Topeka, KS 66603. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, Topeka, was in charge of arrangements.

Vera will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Mon., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.
