DELIA – Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys for Regina M. “Sally” Simecka, 84, Delia. She died Tuesday, July 19, 1994, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Simecka was a nurse’s aide at the St. Marys Manor for 18 years. She was born June 27, 1910, in St. Mary’s, the daughter of John and Mary Brunin Dohrman.
Mrs. Simecka was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Delia. She was married to James E. Simecka on April 7, 1934, in St. Marys. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, James L. Simecka and Edward Simecka, both of St. Mary’s, and Gerald R. Simecka, Topeka; seven daughters, Mary Barr, Jo Endicott, Pat Skaggs and Ginger Lynch, all of Chanute, Judy Kizzire, Lawson, Mo., Dolores Kennedy, Topeka, and Barbara Froelich, Pittsburg; a brother, Lee Dohrman, St. Marys; four sisters, Germaine Durow and Katherine Reilly, both of Topeka, and Margaret Tomson and Dolores Floersch, both of Delia; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys. Mrs. Simecka will like in state after 2 p.m. today at Verschelden Funeral Home Chapel in St. Marys where relatives and friends will meet at 7 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Stanislaus Building Fund in Rossville and sent in care of the funeral home.

For 18 years, Mrs. Simecka was a nurse’s aide at the St. Marys Manor. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Delia.
On April 7, 1934, she was united in marriage to James E. Simecka in St. Marys. He survives.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Verschelden Chapel, St. Marys. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Marys; interment was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Stanislaus Building Fund, Rossville, Ks. 66533.
