Edna Seaman
Edna Ethel Seaman, 100, died Thursday, August 24, 2000, at the Rossville Valley Manor.
She was born January 17,1900, in Grove, the daughter of William and Frances Besta Hawk.
Mrs. Seaman worked for Topeka State Hospital for 40 years before she retired in 1955. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Among survivors are two nephews, Duane Burress, Meriden, and Ronald Burress, Topeka.
A graveside service was conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in the Walnut Hill Cemetery at Grove. Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka, was in charge of arrangements.

ROSSVILLE — Edna Ethel Seaman, 100, Rossville, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at a Rossville nursing home.
Mrs. Seaman worked for Topeka State Hospital for 40 years before she retired in 1955.
She was born Jan. 17,1900, in Grove, the daughter of William and Frances Besta Hawk.
Mrs. Seaman was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Among survivors are two nephews, Duane Burress, Meriden, and Ronald Burress, Topeka.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Walnut Hill Cemetery at Grove. Mrs. Seaman will lie in state from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka.
