 | Obituary- Rutledge, Golda GOLDA A. RUTLEDGE
Mrs. Golda A. Rutledge, 49, died Thursday, Nov. 28th, at her home, 2816 Hazelton Court, after a few month illness. She was born August 28, 1891, near Rossville, and had been a resident of this community all of her life. She was married to B. B. Rutledge in June, this year and since that time had made her home in Topeka.
She was the daughter of the late W. V. Hook. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Eastern Star of Rossville.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3:30 at the Wall- Diffenderfer Mortuary, with the Rev. B. P. Broadfoot of the Rossville Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. H. L. Nelson of Topeka. Music was furnished by Mr. Ball of Topeka, who sang two solos, “Whispering Hope” and “Going Home”, accompanied by his mother.
The O. E. S. burial service was exemplified by Amaryllis Chapter, of Rossville at the Chapel instead of the grave side.
“Golda” as a wide circle of friends knew her, was blessed with a happy disposition and scattered sunshine wherever she might foe. She was a very successful school teacher having taught rural schools, in Rossville city school and the Willard
