Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parkview Funeral Home in Manhattan for Mrs. Dorothy A. Fader, 71, Fort Riley, who died Sunday, September 4, 1983, at a Junction City hospital.
Mrs. Fader and her husband were curators of the First Territorial Capitol of Kansas near Fort Riley.
She was born December 30, 1911, at Rossville, the daughter of Ira and Bertha Hopkins. She moved to Topeka in 1972, and later moved to Fort Riley.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She was married to Lawrence “Larry” Fader August 14, 1947, at Valdosta, Ga. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Bill Fritz, Junction City; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Patterson, Amarillo, Tex., and Mrs. Clara Solko, Topeka; and a grandchild.
Burial was in Ashland Cemetery near Manhattan. Memorial contributions may be designated for cancer research and sent in care of the funeral home.
