Mrs. Josephine Rundus, 89, died at her home on August 18, 1991.
She was born on October 23, 1901, the daughter of Frank and Josephine Hubka in Chicago, Ill.
She was a member of the Emmanual Baptist Church in Chicago, Ill., taught Sunday School and worked with the youth. She was employed by Sears, Roebuck as a stenographer for 13 years. She graduated from the Moody Bible Institute Evening School in June of 1929.

 | Obituary- Rundus, Josephine 2 She married Benjamin A. Rundus on August 3, 1929. He was a minister serving the Presbyterian Church at Miltonvale, Kansas. They went on to Kipp, and then Unadilla, Nebr. In 1938, they began serving Czech churches, first in Winnepeg, Canada, then Eagle, S.D., Omaha, Nebr., Tabor and Tyndall, S.D. They had six children.
In 1948 they returned to Kansas, serving in Rossville, Delia, Scottsville, Jamestown and Delphos. They retired to Munden in 1972.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976, a son, Benjamin Herbert in 1960, and daughter, Faith Bishop, in 1985.
Survivors include two daughters, Josephine Strnad, and Anita Strnad, Munden; two sons, Wesley Rundus, Munden, and Dr. Timothy Rundus, Bonner Springs; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Zion Evangelical Church, Munden, on Tuesday, August 20, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Onesimus Rundus and Pastor Jim Woldhuis officiating.
Burial was in Tabor Cemetery.
