Mr. Chas. Patton and Miss Lela Williams, both of this city, were married by Judge Schoch Tuesday morning at his office in Topeka.
Both of the contracting couples are well known young people of this town and the Reporter wishes them well.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hallert of Topeka entertained with a family dinner Tuesday evening in honor of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lambert of Rossville, on their 55th wedding anniversary.
Present were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lambert, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cormack, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Johnson of Topeka, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lambert, Mrs. Docia Wyatt and Mr. and Mrs. Herbie Lambert and Michelle of Silver Lake.

Maudie V. Hallert, 87, Topeka, died Thursday, January 24, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born July 9, 1914, at Rossville, the daughter of William Mitchell and Georgia A. Shipley Lambert.
She was a graduate of Silver Lake High School. She was a member of the Silver Lake United Methodist Church, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Loyal Chapter #76 for 69 years, and a former member of the Moose Lodge and the Shawnee Country Club.
On February 19, 1939, she married Arthur L. Hallert in Olathe. Maudie and Arthur owned and operated the Union Clothing Store in Topeka for many years. Arthur died May 21, 1990.
Private services were at Mt. Hope Chapel in Topeka. Entombment was in Mt. Hope Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Silver Lake United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 188, Silver Lake 66539. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
