| Obituary- Moore, Eunice EUNICE W. MOORE
Mrs. Eunice Ward Moore, 83, Topeka, died late Thursday, October 6, 1983, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Moore began teaching at Maple Hill when just out of high school. She became head business teacher at Seaman High School from 1931 to 1965. She also was the bank sponsor and director of Money and Banking, a commercial bank operated by high school students.
She was born June 9, 1900, near Elmont, the daughter of John R. and Alice Dodd Ward. She was graduated from Topeka High School in 1919, from Emporia State Teachers College in 1928 and did graduate work at the University of Denver.
Mrs. Moore was a member of University United Methodist Church, Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma honorary teachers’ society, Group XI of Central Congregational Church, Topeka Area Retired Teachers and National Retired Teachers Association.
She was married to Roscoe F. Moore June 12, 1965, at Vancouver, Wash. He survives.
Other survivors include two nieces, including Mrs. Melva J. Sidwell, Topeka; and six nephews, including Clyde Miller, Rossville.
Services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial was in Prairie Home Cemetery, northwest of Topeka.
