| Anniversary- Stalker, Winfred and Anna Stalker Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Stalker celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary Sunday, August 13, 1950, at their home in Rossville. Mrs. Stalker was formerly Miss Anna Ward, daughter of pioneer farmers of Adrian, Mr. and Mrs. John Ward. She and Mr. Stalker were married at the home of her parents, with relatives and close friends present. They have resided in Jackson and Shawnee counties all their married life. They are the parents of five children, Mrs. Halcie Cerny of Rossville; Dr. Clinton L. Stalker of Topeka; Glen Stalker of Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Bess Lauck of Palo Alto, Calif.; and Capt. Orville Stalker of El Paso, Texas.
There was a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake with gold trimmings on a lovely lace tablecloth and bouquets of yellow roses and gladioli.
Mrs. Halcia Cerny poured at the punch bowl and Misses Edith and Marcia Cerny, granddaughters assisted. Marcia, dressed in an orchid formal, served and Edith, dressed in a blue formal had charge of the guest book.
Many nice gifts were received and a large number of cards. | Obituary- Stalker, Frances Frances Stalker
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabe1 Funeral Home for Mrs. Frances Anna Stalker, 87, Rossville, who died Monday in a Topeka hospital where she was admitted Sunday. She had a heart ailment. Burial will be in Delia Cemetery.
She was born May 25, 1878, in Kansas and had lived at Rossville about 50 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Rossville.
Survivors include three sons, Dr. Clinton L. Stalker, 1715 Webster, Glenn W. Stalker, Sacramento, Calif., and Col. F. O. Stalker, Fort Lewis,, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Halcia M. Cerny, Rossville, and Mrs. I. S. Louck, Burlingame, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
