Rosella A. “Rose” Miles McCollough, 92, Rossville, died Friday, June 27,1997, at the Rossville Valley Manor.
She was born February 2,1905, in Clyde, the daughter of Joseph E. and Marinda Coulter Watson.
Mrs. McCollough had lived in Axtell for 10 years, where she and her first husband, Harry Miles, owned and operated Lee’s High Grade Food Store. They lived in Seneca for five years, where they owned and operated the Modem Motel. They had also lived in Colorado and owned and operated a peach farm. Mrs. McCollough lived in Topeka for seven years and worked at J.C. Penney’s before moving to Rossville in 1959.
Mrs. McCollough was a member of the Rossville Christian Church and was Site Director for Good Neighbors from 1977 to 1981.
She was married to Harry B. Miles September 20, 1922, at Concordia. He died November 12, 1970. She married Ross McCollough on July 6,1981, at Alma. He died November 2,1988.
Surviving her are a son, Col. Jack Miles, Boone, N.C.; a daughter, Betty Holly, Mesa, Ariz.; four granddaughters; six great-grand¬children; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Monday evening at the Parker- Price Mortuary in Topeka. Her service was at 10:00 Tuesday (this morning) at the funeral home. Interment was in the Rossville Cemetery.

ROSSVILLE — Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka for Rosella A. Miles Rose” McCoIlough, 92, Rossville, who died Friday, June 27, 1997, at a nursing home here.
She was born Feb. 2,1905, in Clyde, the daughter of Joseph E. and Marinda Coulter Watson. She lived in Rossville since 1959. Earlier she spent seven years in Topeka where she worked at the J.C. Penney Co., store.
She was a member of the Christian Church in Rossville and served from 1977 to 1981 as sight director for Good Neighbors.
She was married to Harry B. Miles Sept. 20, 1922, in Concordia. They spent 10 years in Axtell where they owned and operated Lee's High Grade Food Store. They spent five years in Seneca where they owned and operated the Modern Motel and later lived in Colorado where they owned and operated a peach farm. He died Nov. 12, 1970. She was married to Ross McCoIlough July 6, 1981, in Alma. He died Nov. 3, 1988.
Survivors include a son, Col. Jack Miles, Boone, N.C.; a daughter, Betty Holly, Mesa, Ariz.; four granddaughters; six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. McCoIlough will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the mortuary in Topeka where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.
