Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cormack will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner Aug. 12.
Hosts will be their children: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cormack, Lawrence; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cormack, Vernon, Texas; and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Williams. The couple has six grandchildren.
Walter Cormack and Leona Williamson were married Aug. 9, 1934, at Nebraska City, Neb. Mr. Cormack is retired from USD 501 where he was an elementary school principal.

| Obituary- Cormack, Leona Leona Emily Cormack
Leona Emily Cormack, 34, passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Rolling Hills Health Center in Topeka.
She was born January 7, 1913 at Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Robert E. and Margaret Ellen Orr Williamson. She graduated from Highland High School in 1932.
On August 9, 1934 she was united in marriage to Walter V. Cormack at Nebraska City, NE. He died June 12, 2002. Mrs. Cormack was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Anne Roberson her parents and three brothers.
She was a member of the University United Methodist Church and a member of the WSCS at the church. She enjoyed listening to the Lamplighters. She had been a volunteer for many years at Doorstep.
Survivors include two sons, Mike (Shirley) Cormack, Lawrence and Tom (Barbara) Cormack, Topeka; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 2, 2007 at the University United Methodist Church in Topeka. Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Cormack will lie in state an hour before service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Doorstep Inc. and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
