ROSSVILLE – Ruby Alice Sawitzke, 95, Rossville, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at a Rossville nursing home.
Mrs. Sawitzke taught school in Florida for 30 years.
She was born July 2, 1904, in Rossville, the daughter of Reuben and Lillie Ellis Wilt. She attended the University of Arizona at Tucson and Washburn University. She earned a master’s degree in education at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1936.
She married Edward Sawitzke in the 1930s. They divorced.
Cremation is planned. No services are scheduled.
