Hazel Winton Smith Surritt, 94, Silver Lake, died Monday, February 9, 1998, at Rossville Valley Manor, Rossville.
She was born February 5,1904, at Atchison, the daughter of Albert P. and Dennie DePuy Winton.
She had lived in Wichita before moving to Silver Lake in 1953.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the XYZ Club, and the Silver Lake Senior Citizens, all in Silver Lake.
She was married to Edward Frank Surritt on May 7, 1953 at Topeka. He died July 19,1975. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty; a son, Alonzo; and two stepsons, Ervin L. Surritt and Walter C. Surritt.
Survivors include a son, Robert Smith, Massachusetts; a stepson, Jesse F. Surritt, Silver Lake; several grandchildren and great¬grandchildren.
Graveside service and interment were Thursday at Silver Lake Cemetery. Friends and relatives met Wednesday at the Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka.
