| Obituary- Zickefoose, Maggie Maggie Elizabeth Zickefoose
Maggie Elizabeth Wood was born Oct. 18, 1869, in Steuben county New York. She came to Kansas at the age of twelve and lived in this and surrounding communities the rest of her life. At an early age she united with the United Brethren church.
On Oct. 20, 1894, she was united in marriage to W.H. Zickefoose and to this union were born three sons and two daughters. Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, William H. Zickefoose; a son, Elmer, of Emmett; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Kovar of Merriam, Kan.; a brother, Dennis Wood of Grantville, and a half brother, Emmett Wood of Guthrie, Okla.; five grandchildren, Hazel and Gilbert Kovar, Margaret and Lloyd Moore and Dixie Jo Zickefoose; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 2 o'clock at the Rossville Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. James W. Reed.
Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Peter Navarre, Mrs. E.G. Griswold, Mrs. C.E. Gresser and Mrs. Margaret Witter, with Miss Edith Higginbotham as accompanist. The pallbearers were Mssrs. Ed Kovar, Clifford Reser, Irvin Reser, Frederic Zickefoose, C.E. Cless and Frank Wood.
Interment was in the Rossville cemetery.
