| Obituary- Renwan, Millicent 1 Millicent Renwan
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Christian Church at Rossville for Mrs. Millicent E. Renwan, 76, Rossville, who died Monday in a Topeka hospital where she was readmitted Jan. 5. She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.
She was born April 26, 1896, near Aliceville in Coffey County and spent her early life in the Burlington community. She was graduated from Burlington High School and attended Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia.
She taught six years in Coffey County rural schools and later taught in city schools at Pratt, Burlington, Kanopolis, and Rossville. She was instrumental in establishing the Rossville Community Library and was librarian there from 1950 to 1966.
Mrs. Renwan was a member of the Rossville Christian Church and the Dorcas Sunday school class at the church. She also was a member of Amaryllis Chapter No. 321, Order of Eastern Star, at Rossville and the Kansas Library Assn.
She was married to Paul Renwan Nov. 21, 1945, at Hiawatha. He died Dec. 2,1964.
A brother, Warren Wright, Hiawatha, survives.
Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Renwan will lie in state until 10 a.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary and! after noon Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church.
