Floyd and Ruth Gee, Silver Lake, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Saturday at the Silver Lake Community Center.
It was hosted by their children, Dan Gee, Englewood, Colo., and Laurel Bieker, Kansas City, and their families.
Floyd Gee and Ruth Wullschleger were married Aug. 22, 1944, at the Baptist Church in Winifred.
Mr. Gee was a church pastor in Linden, Ind., and Rossville. He also is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Mrs. Gee is retired from Peoples State Bank, Rossville.

| Anniversary- Gee, Floyd and Ruth 2 Golden Anniversary for Gee Couple
Floyd and Ruth Gee, Silver Lake, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 3, at the Silver Lake Community Center, 404 Lake Street.
Hosts will be their children, Dan Gee, Englewood, Colo., and Laurel Bieker, Kansas City, and their families.
Floyd Gee and Ruth Wullschleger were married August 22,1944 at the Baptist Church in Winifred. Mr. Gee pastored churches in Linden, Ind„ and Rossville. He also is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Mrs. Gee is retired from Peoples State Bank, Rossville.

| Obituary- Gee, Mary (MARY) RUTH WULLSCHLEGER GEE
(Mary) Ruth Wullschleger Gee was born to Kittie M. (Hunt) and R.D. Wullschleger on March 15, 1921, on the family farm in Marshall County, Kan.
She graduated from Frankfort High School and went to Ottawa University. She taught in one-room schools in Kansas. Ruth continued her education at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where Floyd Gee, from Home was attending.
Floyd and Ruth married in August 1944 and lived in Indiana where Floyd was a pastor. They had two children, Daniel and Laurel. Years later they moved to Rossville where she worked at Peoples State Bank for many years.
Ruth loved music and played many instruments. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She also loved to worship and serve the Lord and belonged to the Rossville Bible Church.
Ruth is survived by her husband Floyd; son, Dan (Gwen); daughter Laurel (Steve); sister, Marge; brother, Bob (Margaret); sisters-in-law, Wanda Wullschleger and Edna Gee. She leaves her grandchildren Andrew, Benjamin (Ashley), Danielle and Joe and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dick.
Committal services at the Marysville Cemetery were held Friday, Jan. 18.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Piper Funeral Home, St. Marys, assisted the family.
