| Marriage- Wyckoff, Elva-Davis, Marion Marion Davis and his new bride have gone to housekeeping on the Kassebaum place northeast of Rossville. Mrs. Davis' maiden name was Alva [Elva] Wyckoff, of LaMont, Okla., and Marion's long visits in Oklahoma the past two years are now made clear. The marriage occurred on February 28, and they came to Rossville March 4th. |

| Obituary- Davis, Elva Mrs. Marion Davis
Elva Wyckoff Davis was born in Sumner county, Kansas, May 9, 1885, and died Tuesday, December 10, 1918, at the home of her parents near LaMont, Oklahoma, aged 33 year, 7 months and 1 day.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis left Rossville Wednesday morning, November 27, to make a visit with her parents at LaMont, making the trip in their car. They arrived at their destination in the evening of the same day. On the following Sunday, December 1, Mr. Davis came down with influenza and Mrs. Davis became ill on Monday. Altho not fully recovered Marion left his bed to assist in the care of his wife, whose condition soon became critical when pneumonia developed. Everything that could be done in the way of careful nursing and good medical aid was of no avail and Mrs. Davis past away Tuesday, December 10.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis had been married since February 28, 1917, and had lived on the L. P. Hartzell farm northeast of Rossville until just two weeks before the trip to Oklahoma when they had moved to the Mulvane ranch southwest of Rossville.
Beside the husband Mrs. Davis is survived by her parents, two brothers, Fred and Lee, and one sister, Nellie. She was a good Christian girl, kind to all and always ready to sacrifice for others.
The funeral was held Thursday, December 12, and interment made in the LaMont cemetery.
