Leonard D. and Wanda G. Wonnell, Silver Lake, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. June 2 at their home, 7849 N.W. Hodges Road at Silver Lake.

Wanda Smith and Leonard Wonnell were married June 2,1962, at Silver Lake Methodist Church.

Hosts will be their children, Cynthia Ann and Stephen Snyder, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Melinda and Steve Buster, Independence, Mo.; and David and Natalie Wonnell, Topeka. They have five granddaughters.

Mr. Wonnell retired in 1993 from Allied Signal in Kansas City after 28 years of service.

Mrs. Wonnell is a homemaker.

The couple request no gifts.
