Michelle Scott Cowger
Michelle Scott Cowger, 53, Parker, Colo., passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at Parker Adventist Hospital.
Michelle was born March 21, 1960, incom¬ing, Kan., to Gilbert and Sally (Broxterman) Scott. She married Larry Cow¬ger March 21, 1991. Her parents and her son, Lee Christopher Patterson, preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Holy Name Grade School and Hayden High School. She was an amazing basketball and volleyball athlete.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Larry Cowger of Parker, Colo.; son, Joseph Duncan “Joe" Cowger of Seattle, Wash.; two stepdaugh¬ters, Caitlin Cowger of New York and Hannah Cowger of Kansas City; four brothers, Randy Scott of Phoenix, Ariz., Keith Scott of Cincinnati, Ohio, Glen Scott of Topeka, Kan., and Ralph Scott, Kansas City, Kan., and two sisters, Marsha Scott DeDonder of St. Marys, Kan., and Sheryl Scott Bahr of Rossville, Kan.
Mass of Resurrection was celebrated Satur¬day June 1, at Mater Dei Holy Name, Topeka. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys.
As her son Lee Christopher battled cancer and leukemia through his young life, the family wishes to have memorial contributions made to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka, KS 66614.
