Phyllis N. Gleason
Dover-Phyllis N. Gleason, 82, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

She was born November 27, 1929 on a farm south of Dover, the daughter of Everette J. and Lula Moran Thomas.

Phyllis lived in the Dover community all of her life. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Gleason was a member of the Dover Federated Church, the Ladies Aide and a past member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by a son Terry Gleason on April 23, 2003. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Clayton Thomas and two sisters, Geraldine and Betty Thomas.

On August 12, 1947 she was united in marriage to Harold Gleason at St. Marys. They celebrated their 65th anniversary this past Sunday. Harold survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Richard (Jenette) Gleason, Winnemucca, NV; her daughter, Sharon (Glen) Bishop, Ross-ville; a brother, Elden (Jerry) Thomas, Burlingame; two sisters-in-law, Mary Thomas and Ida Thomas both of Harveyville; 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Keene Cemetery. Mrs. Gleason will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple, St. Marys, KS. 66536.
