Ruth A. Gresser
ROSSVILLE- Ruth A. Gresser, 87, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at her rural Rossville home.

Mrs. Gresser was a homemaker.

She was born February 5, 1920 in Eccles, MO., the daughter of Walter B. and Grace Wasson McCurry. She graduated from high school in Salisbury, Mo., and from Missouri Business College in Jefferson City, MO.

She married Joe M. Gresser on June 13, 1942 in Chapel Hill N.C. They moved to Rossville in October 1945. Mr. Gresser died May 18, 1990. She was also preceded in death by an infant son Robert Gresser in August 1946.

Mrs. Gresser was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Topeka.

Survivors include a son, Michael Gresser Ojai, CA; two daughters, Carolyn Gresser, Rossville and Catherine Barber, Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2007 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Gresser will lie in state from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 21, 2007 and an hour before service time on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Home Health and Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home.
